El Quetzal de Laura: A Culinary Gem in San Patricio, Mexico

First of all, the food was great. No complaints about the food at all. My complaint here is there was this young waiter, who was just rude and service was bad from him. My family and I tried to get his attention so we can get coffee or menus. We noticed he was being ‘friendly’ to other people, but with our table he was just rude. We went there 3 different times and the other 2 times the ladies who helped us were great. It can get really busy, and I also understand it can be overwhelming, but we definitely noticed how rude this young man was towards us. My coffee cup was dirty and cracked and I had to ask him to get me a new one. He didn’t even say sorry nor show any emotions of being apologetic whatsoever. Once again, the food was great and the other 2 ladies who helped us in different time and day were great.

We recently had breakfast at El Quetzal and it was excellent. My husband had Enchiladas Suisas and I had the Chiliquilles in salsa verde and both meals were delicious. They make a fantastic salsa verde. Great flavour with a hint of spice. The meals are very reasonably priced given the exceptionally large portions. Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous. The atmosphere is wonderful and the waitstaff very friendly. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely Delicious! Friendly morning staff (Carolina and Pepe) are ready to provide excellent service in a nice outdoor café type of environment. Plenty of breakfast options to choose from, I highly recommend the #9 omelette with Arrachera (steak). I asked for spinach instead of onions in my omelette as well as a side order of Chilaquiles. OMG it's soooooo good. When you are hungry, this is the restaurant you want to go to. Definitely going back for dinner today.

Wonderful place El Quetzal is my favorite midday restaurant in Melaque. The food is fabulous, waitstaff friendly (if sometimes overworked) and the prices very reasonable. Great for dinner too. If you’re in Melaque, don’t miss this place. Just a block from the weekly Tianguis market on Wed.

Omg just go here!!!! Fabulous. I want to go back and eat my way through the menu. Today, we had enchiladas , Hawaiian Shrimp, and the Caesar salad and margaritas. Everything was fantastico! I could go there everyday. The breakfast menu looks fabulous too, and apparently, the pizza is fabulous ( served after 6). We will go back another day

This place is definately my fav in the neighborhood of Obragon. The food is always very good and some dishes are exceptional.

Great food and good service. Enchiladas and chili rellenos are the best.

Love the food and environment. Service from our server was not very good. He was kind but needed a lot of follow up especially when we were ready to leave. We had to ask for our bill 5/6 times .
